Summary: I withheld a fifth star simply because, while visiting there was a problem with bugs in the room. While they did send an email about 1 hour in advance of our arrival, we did not see it, unfortunately. And when being checked in, although staff was aware of the situation, no one actually informed us of the situation. The restaurant was closed for our stay - presumably because of the same problem. The bar was open for small plates and drinks, but the service leaves much to be desired. The hotel manager was absent for the duration of our stay and no one was left in charge, about which I wrote and email to her. A response was never received. The hotel is beautiful, and the grounds are lovely. But, for $400 a night, we expect better service, quite frankly.
