Positive: This property is advertised as 'atypique', which I understand to mean 'unusual'. It certainly is that, and I am sure some people will enjoy its quirky charm: if you are looking for somewhere 'different' then you may be happy here, but do consider our other comments below. On the positive side, the location is great for exploring the Côte de Granite Rose and Northern Brittany generally. It is away from the busier seaside locations but within easy reach of Lannion, Tréguier and other local towns. It was easy to find, parking is straightforward, and the next-door cafe staff were very helpful when we first arrived. It is noticably cheaper than many other properties, so some negatives are to be expected perhaps.

Negative: The property has been renovated in a quirky, rustic, almost anarchic style and the downstairs part works reasonably well - it's interesting, although too easy to hit your head on the old fireplace while using the kitchen (to be fair, we were warned about that). The design of the upper floor was probably intended to be similarly 'interesting', but it has been carried out using too many cheap, rough, building-site materials and isn't at all charming in our view. The bathroom is genuinely difficult to access and has no opening window which meant it became very hot by late afternoon. The materials used are difficult to keep clean and are probably one of the main reasons why this property felt very dirty throughout, indeed the standards of cleanliness were probably the poorest we have experienced in a holiday property anywhere, which is a shame because this place does have potential.

Summary: A 'different' property in a good location and a good price, but not clean enough for us.
