Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The outstanding highlight of our overnight stay was the dinner which exceeded all expectation. I cannot fault it and its quality was better than many higher grade hotels in which we have stayed. Service by the staff was very good with positive attitude and welcoming stance. Good view from the room over the river and in to the distance.

Negative: Finding the hotel using satnav can be confusing and carrying luggage upstairs for older clients can be off-putting. There is secure(?) underground parking outside the hotel The room was adequate for an overnight stay but nothing more, and the bathroom could do with refurbishment. We were not late into breakfast which was sparse, but with two staff clearly wanting to clear everything away, as we ate. We felt rushed and in the way.

Summary: It had its high points but not one to be repeated.
