Summary: The hotel was situated in a lovely position right in the heart of Bourton on the Water which gave easy access to the shops, restaurants and water. The hotel also had a car park which is always a bonus. Inside was a nice warm feel to it and the staff were lovely and accommodating. The room however was small and a little tired in appearance considering the price we had paid and compared to stays in other hotels for less cost. Our room was also situated near to the outdoor seating area and bar which made for a noisy night but not unacceptable. The en-suite was tiny with the fixtures and fittings tired in appearance (rusty mirror for example) although I have to say the shower with its oversized head was a highlight. Overall it wasn’t unpleasant but not value for money in my opinion especially considering breakfast was an additional £22.50 per person and not included in the price. I wouldn’t not recommend this to others especially given its location but if you’re looking for something where you get value for money, I would consider other options.
